    1. I love your sidebar. We have the same sense of humor. I think I will post some humor on my sidebar too. I liked the lining the shelf post. I'm going to look for some lining to put in my junk drawer. Doing something new or something I haven't thought about in a long time, always makes me feel like I've accomplished something. If that drawer works out who knows!

    1. I used to see that look on my grand daughter's face. The "can I get away with it" look. I don't think I'm really mischievous in my actions but I still get those sneaky little thoughts. Guess it goes back to "A grandma is just an older little girl".

  3. When I read this I could hear my mother's voice in my head. LOL! And yes, she would be the one leading because she lives life her way and has loads of fun doing it. I love that woman! :D

    1. That is so fun. Your mother was the spirit lady and you loved her for it. My daughter always puts up with my eccentricities and just laughed. It is so life affirming to have a child that loves and accepts you. You are very special.

  4. That made me chuckle out loud. I used to have a quote on my work desk..."Smile, it makes people wonder what you are up to."

    1. I love that quote too. Funny little sayings like this brighten my day. I'm not really sure why because I wasn't really mischievious but I did think of crazy things to do. Thank goodness I had a safety brake between my brain and my actions.

  5. And then there is: "Don't lead me into temptation, I can find my own way." ,-)

    1. How cute is that. I need to start a whole list of sayings along that line.

  6. Barbara, you're so funny. We could hang out! I must check out your Maxine blog -- I love her, and I fear I'm going to grow up to be her!

    1. I am her in my mind. Luckily, I have a stop mechanism that kicks in before I say anything blunt or inappropriate. I think that has something to do with getting older - You want to tell it like it is.
