Mostly Pictures

Not so happy today.  Went to the allergist yesterday.  He did not think it was a food, contact or weather allergy but didn't know what it was.  Could not run a test specific to my insulin but suggested changing to see if that made a difference.  Well thanks.  Come back in a week, but I'll be on vacation so see my PA.

Bottom line he put me on two Allegra in the mornings and two Zyrtec at night. If this doesn't help he will keep uping the number until it got to two and six, respectively.

He said the Zyrtec might make me very sleepy -  Nope.  But the two Allegra sent me back to the 60s.  I had to go to bed.  Here is the rash starting back again - about palm size.  The other leg has similar.

Here's the Grand Girl playing dress up.

No post would be complete without the "reading circle."

Well the 60s are calling again.  Boy that Allegra goes straight to my head.

  1. I would be very unhappy with that doctor visit. Very unhappy. Have you by chance changed brands of laundry soap? That did it one time for one of my kids. Bless your heart. I'll be interested in your next medical report. The grand girl is very cute dressed up.

    1. I change everything I use by buying what's on sale so I don't think it is a specific product except if it were the base chemical in some product, say shampoo. He was very content with we just don't always know what causes hives. I'm going to think positive.

  2. Oh my! I was so hopeful with the allergist, so I can only imagine how disappointing it must be for you. Hang in there. It must be so uncomfortable, especially in the heat.

    Your little sweetie is adorable!

  3. Well, the grand girl looks like a princess to me. A very cute princess.

    Good luck on the rash.

    1. I'm having so much fun with her this summer. I could use a boost of energy and a hearing aide so I could turn the talk off sometimes.

    1. There are so many serious problems out there that I count my blessings. I also count my rashy patches at the same time!

  5. Oh Barbara I'm sorry. But on the bright side I hope you have the body from the 60s too. Now that would be fun wouldn't it?

    1. What a great idea. I'll see if I can't channel up a short skirt and Cher eyes.

  6. So sorry to hear you don't have any answers and I am sending healing thoughts your way. Your grandgirl is adorable. I saw your comment above about wishing sometimes you could turn off the talk and have a burst of energy. Boy, do I know that feeling. After a day with my 2 year old grandgirl I am exhausted! She talks non-stop and has energy to spare. When she naps, I nap!!

  7. Haha. Misery loves company. It is so darn quiet when she is gone but so darn loud when she is here.

  8. Boy, do I hear you on the wish for no-talking sometimes. Actually, my granddaughter invented a game that she plays with her younger brother (the source of constant chatter). It is called the Quiet Game and when she calls it, the first one to talk is the loser. She is the only one who can interest him in this game, but it sure helps on a long car ride. ;-))

My sister used to get hives like that when she was a teenager. It was caused by exposure to cold. Not much help for finding the cause of your hives, I'm afraid! just sometimes it is tricky to pin down a cause.

  11. Geez, no wonder they say doctors"practice" medicine. I hate anything that makes me feel drugged.

    1. Hahaha. Benadryl and Zyrtec, both of which affect some people, don't phase me but put a little Allegra in the koolaid and I'm off like a repeat of Fantasia.
