Baby Its Cold Outside - Bing Crosby & Doris Day

I've got a little cold going on here.  Over a sore throat but my nose and head are not clear yet.

I'll be alone tonight as the social creatures in my family are each spending the night with friends.  That is ok with me.  I'll be watching fireworks on TV or maybe cuddling up with a good book or movie.  I definitely won't be sorry I'm not out and about socializing.  I'll be warm and cozy - and safe - right here.

Whatever your plans are, I wish you the Happiest New Year.

  2. It was so quiet here that 2018 sneaked in with out my knowledge. Hope the rest of your cold disappears soon. Stay warm and safe.

  4. I love having a quiet NY Eve like that -- it is not a favourite holiday of mine. Wishing you all the best in 2018!

  5. Seems like almost anyone I talk to, has either been sick, getting sick, or getting over it. I am just getting over one as well. Get well soon!

  6. We all had the crud within the past month, but right now everyone is good. Cross our fingers it stays that way!

We had a quiet New Year's Eve. After warning our houseguest that there may be fireworks in the neighborhood, we went to bed, only to be awakened at midnight by loud cracks and pops. She woke up, too, but thankfully, her daughter did not. They were out in the camper, which we used as a guest house, but got a good night's sleep in the end.
